The Business Committee of the Presbytery of Stirling is charged with overseeing the business of the Presbytery. This involves ensuring that matters received from the General Assembly or a Council of the Church are delegated to the appropriate standing committees to be dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
The Business Committee nominates the Moderator of Presbytery and allocates members
to the standing committees.
Regular reports from the Treasurer are received and Business Committee ensures that there is good stewardship of Presbytery's resources. In addition it brings forward for Presbytery's approval the budget and accounts and ensures that all records are examined and in good order.

Through the work of the chaplain, pastoral care and support is given to members of Presbytery.
In situations of vacancy the Business Committee is responsible for care and support of congregations.
In the second half of 2016, Business committee instigated a review of the location and shape of
Presbytery meetings. That working group reported in 2017, and the Presbytery agreed to changing the date of meetings to the first Thursday of the month.

The Business Committee comprises, the Moderator, Clerk, Depute Clerk, Treasurer, Bus. Comm. Convener and the converners of each of the standing committees.
The meetings of the Business committee take place on the Tuesday ten days before the Presbytery - usually the last Tuesday of the month, in St Columba's Church Stirling Committee rooms.
New ministers inducted to a charge or post in the Presbytery are usually invited to attend three meetings of Bus Comm to enable them to better unsderstand the work of Presbytery as a whole.

The Presbytery of Stirling Chaplain who provides pastoral care for all members is Rev Valerie Allen who can be contacted by email on
